News and announcements:
It is the fall with back to school, new challenges and
fresh starts.
With school starting, we are winding down our last minute
squeeze to get physicals and forms completed.
We are waiting to see what will materialize with this fall and winter’s
flu and H1N1 flu seasons.
We currently have influenza vaccine for all ages and we
just received a shipment of H1N1 vaccine.
You may book appointments for the vaccine when it is available with our
front desk or you can receive it with your scheduled physical if it is coming
up in the next month of two. Children up
to 9 years old who are receiving the influenza vaccine for the first time will
need two vaccines spaced one month apart.
Children up to the age of 10 who are receiving H1N1 will need two doses
spaced a month apart.
We also want you to know that as the school year
progresses, as your children’s health and wellness advocate, we are available
for consultation on any school related issues that may arise.

patients whether in preschool or college or in between.

- * *Updated 2/19/10** Physicals may be scheduled up to April 2nd. The new schedule opens
Tuesday February 23rd.
At that time physicals may be scheduled through May 31st.
- Please check with your insurance company prior to all physicals
whether you have a co-pay for well visits.
Also please check prior to all visits which laboratory your
insurance uses.
- We currently have flu vaccine for ALL ages. See our influenza page for more information.
- We
currently have H1N1 injectable available for all ages. Second doses may now be scheduled. There are also many towns and schools that are
holding clinics.
- The NJSIAA has issued a new Athletic
Pre-Participation Physical Exam Form that is required for
participation in any Junior High and High School sports programs. If your child is age 10
and older, is scheduled for a physical exam, and is going to participate
in any sports in the upcoming year, you must click on the link above,
print out the form, and fill out your sections of the form PRIOR to
coming to the office. These forms are quite thorough and need to be
reviewed by the doctor. Also, please speak to your school administrators
about whether a vision screen is required for sports clearance. There will
be a $10 charge for each of these forms.
If you do not request a sports form at the time of your child’s
physical, there will be a $20 fee to have one done at a later time.
