Welcome to the Maple Avenue Pediatrics web page!

News and announcements:

We wish to welcome all our new and current patients and encourage you to utilize our Maple Avenue Pediatrics Web Site. If you are visiting our practice for the first time, use these helpful links to review the HIPAA Privacy Policy. You can then print an Acknowledgement of Receipt of Privacy Policy, New Patient Form and Child’s Health History form, complete them at your leisure and bring them with you for your first visit. This will help to save time before your visit with the doctor.

Fall has begun!  We have the flu vaccine in stock and encourage all of our patients to make an appointment to receive it.  Now is also the time for student-teacher conferences.  If your child having educational concerns, please call us to schedule a consultation.

We have also begun to offer Gardasil to boys ages 12 and up.  This vaccine has already been given for several years to girls.  The vaccine provides protection against the 4 subtypes of Human Papillomavirus with the largest disease burden.  It is a 3 dose series in which the second dose is given 2 months after the first dose and the third dose is given six months after the first one.  In boys the vaccine protects against genital, oral, and anal warts and cancers.  It will also protect against the transmission of HPV to females where it can cause cervical cancer. Please note that Oxford and United Health Care are not covering this vaccine for boys.  We recommend that you contact your insurance carrier regarding this issue.  You always have the option of paying out-of-pocket the $190 to administer this vaccine.

·         ** Updated 8/5/11 **  Please note that there are new infant oral suspension drops on the market. We have updated our webpage to reflect these changes. You may find it under Instructions and Information for Parents with the subtitle: Medication dosing - Tylenol and Ibuprofen.

·         We are now charging $10 to complete all allergy and asthma forms.  These forms are very time consuming for our head nurse to fill out.
